About Me
I want to help you live a life you find fulfillment in.
Dream Your Life Into Being
Whether your challenges are moving through past traumas or past self-imposed barriers, I can help you shift how these challenges sit in your body so that you can see new possibilities.
My Background
I started in the counseling field 18 years ago focused on working with individuals with addiction disorders. I found that the majority of those I worked with had significant trauma histories which often contributed to their use of substances. I focused my training on learning about trauma and trauma-focused treatments, including experiential modalities such as equine-assisted psychotherapy, expressive arts therapy, sandtray, horticultural therapy and nature-based psychotherapy. As the field of addiction counseling tends to be very structured, I became licensed to provide mental health services in addition to addiction treatment. I have Master’s degrees in Social Work, Ecopsychology, and Transpersonal Studies and graduate certificates in Rural Social Work, Social Work with Military Families, Criminal Justice, and Creative Expression. I have additional training in play therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and am working towards certification as an EMDR treatment provider. I am also a certified Outdoor Therapist.
